Metodologia is a peer-reviewed journal, published by the Finnish Methodology Society, aimed towards furthering methodology and scientific philosophy on all fields of science. Our journal adheres to the principles of open science.
CALL FOR PAPERS
Publication formats
Peer-review articles
We review and publish articles that cover the theoretical or practical aspects of methodology. Publishing a translated version of an article that has been previously written and published in another language is possible in our publication. Additional information on desired formats and other such information can be found on Submission Guidelines
Essays
We publish essays on methodology, as well as speculative essays on systematic and methodological philosophy. It is our goal to further develop methodology, and thus we deem it important to support essays on these subjects. The essays may be published with or without peer-review.
Book Reviews
Our publication supports reviews on books that addressing methodological or systematic philosophy in any of its forms, as well as books and publications on metascience. Furthermore, we publish reviews on classics and on some lesser-known older works that are still of good quality.
Statements on Science and Policy
We publish pieces on scientific policy without prejudice. Additionally, we welcome opinion pieces on contemporary science in general.
Discussion
We publish discussions, statements and counters that have to do with articles and essays we have previously published.
